Headless body of Hajin youth recovered

Hajin: Locals today recovered a headless body of a youth abducted by gunmen late last Wednesday from his home in Bonkhan Mohalla of Hajin area of Bandipora district.

A police official said that the body of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat (25), son of Abdul Gaffar Bhat, was found headless at an orchard falling in Bonmohalla Hajin.

Police on Thursday said that militants barged into the house of Abdul Gaffar Bhat in north Kashmir’s Hajin and beat the inmates and abducted Gaffar and his son Manzoor Ahmad Bhat.

However, Abdul Gaffar was successful to escape from them in spite of being fired upon his belly and injured with knives, police stated.

His father was also injured during the incident and is battling for his life at Srinagar hospital.

The Delhi High Court has asked AAP leader Somnath Bharti to correct the errors in his plea challenging BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj’s victory in the New Delhi constituency’s Lok Sabha election. The court noted numerous mistakes in Bharti’s petition, which alleges corrupt practices in Swaraj’s election. Heading the bench, Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora stated, “It is full of mistakes. There are too many mistakes. Correct the petition,” .“I can’t issue a notice like this. I will simply adjourn it. Please file a corrected petition,” the court said further.
