On Tuesday, an earthquake struck the Gansu-Qinghai border region in China, resulting in at least 111 fatalities and over 230 injuries, as reported by state media. The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre measured it as a 6.1 magnitude, while Chinese state media reported it as 6.2. The quake’s epicenter was 102 km west-southwest of Gansu’s capital, Lanzhou, with a depth of 35 km. No official information on missing individuals has been provided.
