Family Freezes To Death On US Border, Trafficker Pleaded Not Guilty

Harshkumar Ramanlal Patel, accused in the 2022 human trafficking case resulting in the deaths of four from Gujarat’s Dingucha family, pleaded not guilty to seven counts of human smuggling. The victims, including two children, were found frozen at the US-Canada border. Patel, also known as ‘Dirty Harry,’ entered his plea in a teleconference with US Magistrate Judge Leo Brisbois of Duluth.
