Ukraine claimed to have downed a Russian strategic bomber on Friday following its involvement in a long-range airstrike that resulted in eight casualties, including two children, in the central Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Kyiv. Missiles struck Dnipro and its vicinity early on, causing damage to homes and the main train station. Governor Serhiy Lysak reported three fatalities in Dnipro, including a man found beneath debris in a five-story building, with five others killed in adjacent areas of Dnipropetrovsk region.
