Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif won his Lahore parliamentary seat in Pakistan’s contentious election, which his rival Imran Khan’s PTI party claims was rigged by tampering in vote counts. According to election authorities, Nawaz’s brother, ex-premier Shehbaz Sharif, also carried his constituency with nearly 64,000 votes. But Khan’s outfit alleged unprecedented manipulation in the counting process amid widening claims of irregularities marring the formation of a new government.
The number of total valid votes is greater than total number of votes casted.
