President Vladimir Putin achieved a historic landslide victory in Sunday’s Russian election, strengthening his power dominance. With this win, the 71-year-old Putin is set to commence another six-year term, potentially surpassing Josef Stalin as Russia’s longest-serving leader in over two centuries. According to Reuters, Putin received 87.8% of the vote, the highest ever recorded in post-Soviet Russia, based on an exit poll by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM).
