10 Dead As Building Collapses In Thane’s Bhiwandi, Child Pulled Out Alive From Rubble

It is said that due to heavy rains in Mumbai in the past few days, the Bhiwandi building structure was dilapidated.

 

Bhiwandi| A three-storey building collapsed in Bhiwandi, Thane in Maharashtra in the early hours of Monday, killing 10 people. There are still 20-25 people feared trapped in the debris. The locals took out 20 people. The NDRF team has reached the spot. One child was removed from the debris alive.

The unfateful incident happened at 3.40 pm on Sunday night. At this time most people were sleeping. It is said that due to heavy rains in Mumbai in the past few days, the building structure was dilapidated. There were 21 families living in it. The NDRF team rescued a child from the debris on Monday morning. According to initial information, the building was built in 1984.
