Moscow | Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Order of St Andrew the Apostle, the highest state honour of Russia today, for strengthing of Indo-Russian ties.
A release has been published by the Russian embassy, which states, “For distinguished achievement in the development of Special and Privileged strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of India”

The order has been signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The order of St Andrew the Apostle was established in the 17th century by Peter the Great and is Russia’s oldest and highest decoration.
Last month, PM Modi was conferred the highest civilian award, the Zayed Medal, from the President of UAE, His Highness Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
