The team of doctors overlooking the Kidney transplant case of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has decided to postpone the surgery. For now, the cabinet minister is put on dialysis. Arun Jaitley is undergoing a treatment at New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Science.
The surgery was to take place on Sunday. However, the team of doctors decided to put Jaitley on dialysis first. The doctors said that this increases the success rate of surgery and also helps in speedy recovery. Now, Jaitley has been put under observation for another day. The date of surgery hasn’t been revealed by the doctors yet.
I am being treated for kidney related problems & certain infections that I have contracted. I am therefore currently working from controlled environment at home. The future course of my treatment would be determined by the doctors treating me.

Arun Jaitley last week had informed through a tweet that he will be undergoing a treatment for the kidney-related ailment. According to sources, the tests have been conducted on both Jaitley and the donor. The identity of the donor has been kept under folds.
On Saturday, several party colleagues, family members and friends met Jaitley at AIIMS. On Sunday, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan visited Jaitley.
