Bill To Repeal Farm Laws Passed In Lok Sabha, Amid Voice Voting

New Delhi : In the beginning of the session, Lok Sabha has passed the bill to repeal the farm laws. On this Rakesh Tikait has said after withdrawal now focus on other issues faced by farmers. Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 passes in Lok Sabha amid sloganeering by opposition MPs as per TOI. The Lok Sabha passed the decision amid Voice Voting. Speaker Birla adjourns Lok Sabha till 2pm.

After the Lok Sabha passed the bill to repeal the farm laws, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said, “This is done. Now, speak on farmers’ other issues like legal guarantee of MSP.”

When asked if the farmers would be celebrating today, he said, “So many farmers died during the protest. Should we celebrate that?”

He further stated that the farmers protest will continue. The further course of the action will be decided on December 4

After the Lok Sabha passed the Farm Laws Repeal Bill, protesting farmers at Tikri Border said they are happy but will not go home till all their demands are fulfilled. Their demands include legal guarantee of MSP, cancellation of cases against farmers and compensation to families for martyred farmers.

TMC MPs are holding protest in Parliament, demanding discussion over Farm Laws Repeal Bill. “TMC wanted to have a discussion on Farm Laws Repeal Bill but the government is afraid to discuss the conditions of the farmers. The government is not giving Opposition a chance to speak on behalf of the farmers,” said TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee.

Union minister Pralhad Joshi has stated that the Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 will be tabled in Rajya Sabha at 2 pm today.
