BJP Needed To Do Prayascit: Subramanian Swamy On Withdrawal Of Farm Laws

New Delhi : PM Narendra Modi has taken a big step on farmers issue. Modi has taken down three farm laws amid this BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Friday said that the BJP needed to do ‘prayascit (repent)’ over the government’s action. The outspoken BJP parliamentarian also asked if Modi would also admit that China had occupied India’s land.

He wrote, “I am happy for ending of the suffering farmers who sat in peaceful satyagraha for nearly a year in heat and icy cold now that Modi has backed down. But the BJP needs to do prayashit for not passing a resolution in NEC demanding from the PM to backdown.”

On China’s issue Swamy embarrassed Modi and asked that f the letter would also admit the Chinese occupation of Indian territory. He questions, “Will Modi now admit also that China has grabbed our territory and Modi and his Govt will strive to get back every inch in China’s possession?”

Along with this, in another tweet, he wrote that the time has come for Modi to ask the BJP government of Uttarakhand to back away from the lousy hold on Hindu temples. This acquisition of temples was completely illegal and a matter of shame for the BJP. Apart from this, he also wrote in a tweet whether Modi will now also accept that China has occupied our territory and Modi and his government will try to get back every inch from Chinese occupation.

Modi on Friday had stunned everyone by addressing the nation to announce that his government would repeat the controversial laws.

He had said, “I have come to tell you that we have decided to repeal the three farm laws. In the upcoming Parliament session starting at the end of this month, we will complete the constitutional process to repeal the three farm laws.”

According to some reports, nearly 600 farmers lost their lives during the year-long protests at different parts of the country.
