Ujjain| The notorious gangster Vikas Dubey who escaped the clenches of police twice, has been finally nabbed in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain. Dubey had run away after the killing of 8 cops by his gang members in a shootout near Kanpur dehat. The police party was conducting a raid when they came under indiscriminate fire from rooftop of the building which killed 8 cops and injured several others including a civilian.
Vikas Dubey escaped the police right after the incident. However, he was spotted in a hotel in Haryana’s Faridabad. Apparently, he tried to book a hotel room but since he did not have enough documents, he could not. There were reports that he wanted to surrender before court in NCR.
Yesterday, Vikas Dubey’s close aid Amar Dubey was also kikled in an encounter by UP STF while trying to escape to Madhya Pradesh.
Two more aides of Dubey who were arrested, were killed in an encounter after the police fired while they were trying to run away from the police custody.
