Congress alleges centre for sobbing at Alok Verma’s house thourgh IB officials

New Delhi | The Congress Party on Thursday attacking the Narendra Modi led Union government alleged that the Centre is sobbing at CBI Director Alok Verma’s house through Intelligence Bureau (IB).

Congress Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala taking on Twitter wrote,”After making CBI as ‘Central Burial of Investigation’, Modi Govt now stoops to a ‘new low’ – Snooping on ‘forcibly removed’ CBI Director through IB. He further added,” Let everyone be forewarned – IB is heading the CBI way!”

Earlier on Thursday morning, 4 Intelligence Bureau officers were caught outside CBI director Alok Verma’s house. Verma’s security officials caught these men dressed in plain clothes, who are allegedly of trying to snoop at Verma’s house and his family. These officers were later handed to the Delhi police. However, the IB sources denied that any of their officers were outside Verma’s house.

Sources form the Ministry of Home Affairs responding to the incident said,” Officers were ‘routinely deployed’ on a ‘regular basis’ in ‘sensitives areas’ that affect ‘public order’ and internal security.”
