Deep Sidhu, Main Accused In Republic Day Violence At Red Fort Arrested By Delhi Police

Deep Sidhu was reportedly in contact with a female friend and actor living in California. He used to make videos and send them to his friend.

 

Deep Sidhu, the main accused in the violence at the Red Fort during the Kisan Tractor rally in Delhi, has been arrested. Sidhu, who was absconding for 15 days, was caught by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday. The Delhi Police had put a reward of 1 lakh rupees on Deep Sidhu.

After the arrest, Delhi Police sources disclosed that Deep Sidhu was in contact with a female friend and actor living in California. He used to make videos and send them to his friend, after which she uploaded those videos to Facebook.

Deep Sidhu had given an open warning to farmer leaders a few days ago through Facebook Live. Annoyed at being called a traitor, Sidhu had threatened the farmers’ leaders that if he opens his mouths and starts talking about what is going on in the name of farmers’ movement, these leaders would not even find a way to escape.

Sidhu is an actor in Punjabi films and also claims to be a social worker. Deep started his film career with the Punjabi film Ramta Jogi, which is said to be produced by Dharmendra. Deep Sidhu was born in the year 1984 in Muktsar district of Punjab. Deep has studied law. He has also won the Kingfisher Model Award. On January 17, the NIA had summoned Sidhu in connection with the case related to Sikh for Justice.
