Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodiya’s OSD Arrested By CBI In Bribery Charges

Reacting to the incident, Manish Sisodiya who is contesting the elections from Patparhganj constituency said that CBI should punish the official severely.

 

New Delhi| Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodiya has been arrested by the CBI official in a case related to alleged bribery of Rs 2 Lakh. The OSD arrested is said to be Gopal Krishna Madhav.

In a late-night operation, the CBI honchos arrested Madhav for allegedly receiving bribe amounting to Rs 2 Lakh to settle a matter related to GST.

After the arrest, he was taken to CBI headquarters for the interrogation. The officials said that he was posted in Manish Sisodiya’s office in 2015. the arrest came 2 days before the crucial Delhi Assembly Elections.

Reacting to the incident, Sisodiya who is contesting the elections from Patparhganj constituency said that CBI should punish the official and he has got many such officials arrested during his tenure. He tweeted, “I have come to know that the CBI has arrested a GST inspector taking bribe. This officer was also posted in my office as OSD. The CBI should immediately punish him severely. I have got many such corrupt officials caught in the last 5 years.”

However, Railway and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal trained guns at Sisodiya. He said that how will he develop Delhi when he keeps such corrupt officials with him. Goyal tweeted, “He had come to do all this in politics, not to change politics, and today his OSD was arrested taking red-handed bribe.”
