ED Arrests Two Aides Of Former Maharashtra Home Minister In Money Laundering Case

Mr Deshmukh’s personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde have been arrested under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Two aides of former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh have been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case against the NCP leader related to a ₹ 100 crore bribery charges, officials said on Saturday.

After about nine hours of questioning, Mr Deshmukh’s personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde have been arrested under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), they said.

The two were not cooperating during the questioning that was being held at the central probe agency’s office in Ballard Estate in Mumbai, they said, PTI reported.
