At least four individuals have been injured and reportedly two are trapped under the debris in a fly-over collapse in Uttar Pradesh’s Basti early Saturday morning. The bridge was under construction on National Highway-28. However, no casualty has been reported yet.

While UP police is still investigating the causes for the incident, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the local administration to initiate a speedy rescue operation. This is a second such incident of flyover collapse in the three months. In May this year, a flyover had collapsed in Varanasi which had taken 18 lives.

Meanwhile, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has called the current government as “Useless”. Tweeting about the incident, he said that whatever little work the government has done, is a fail.
