Hindutva means patriotism Balasaheb had said that we are countrymen first, then religion comes: Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray while addressing the annual Dussehra festival said that Hindutva means patriotism. Balasaheb had said that we are countrymen first, then religion comes. Keeping religion at home, when we go out, then the country is our religion.

Uddhav Thackeray on Friday launched a scathing attack on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat over ‘Hindutva’ at the annual Dussehra festival. CM said that today RSS too had organised a meeting. There was talk of Hindutva.. I told Mohan ji (Mohan Bhagwat) that sorry, I am not commenting on you today. Hindutva means patriotism. Balasaheb had said that we are countrymen first, keeping religion at home, when we go out, then the country is our religion.

Further challenging BJP CM said, “Next month our government will turn two, if anyone is willingly dare to knock us down, come win the elections.”

Uddhav Thackeray said, “Just as last time today too, by Mohan Bhagwat, it was rightly said if everyone’s ancestors were one, then the ancestors of opposition, of farmers, of the ones who were allegedly killed were something different ?” Questioning so CM asked Mohan Bhagwat is he agreeing with whatever has happened with them? He also requests common man that vote is biggest weapon and should use it wisely.

Uddhav Thackeray said that Mohan ji said today that the fight should be with thoughts, not war, you should also tell those who are doing anything to stay in power, talked about intoxication, took action on intoxication Should be known.. But those who are intoxicated with power, what should they do to stay in power.

CM Uddhav Thackeray said that Hindutva is an issue. Today, like me, RSS meetings are also held. Our views are the same, Hindutva, that’s why we went with BJP, you did not accept the promise, otherwise we would have been together, so I became the Chief Minister for the promise I gave to my father. Apart from me, Shiv Sainiks will also become the Chief Minister. Had he kept his word, I might have walked out of politics. But I did what I wanted to do.
