IT raid on self-proclaimed ‘Kalki Bhagwan’ reveals 600 crores of Benami property

The self-proclaimed ‘Kalki Bhagwan’ aka Vijay Kumar Naidu released a video and gave his clarification on the matter saying that he will not leave the country.

New Delhi| Massive benami property has been revealed in income tax raids on Kalki Ashram locations in three states. An undisclosed income of Rs 600 crore has been unearthed after the Income Tax Department raided establishments in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Kalki Ashrams are founded by Vijay Kumar Naidu who claims to be an avatar of Kalki God. Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed Lord has issued a video clarifying that he has not left the country. At the same time, the Income Tax Department has also issued summons on Naidu’s family by tightening the screws.

Raid on 40 places including Chittoor Ashram

The Income Tax Department has seized undisclosed amounts of 65 crores (Indian currencies of 45 crores and foreign currencies of US $ 20 crores) after a search operation at Kalki Ashram and 39 other locations in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The Ashram’s uncountable illicit wealth can be gauged from the fact that the income tax raid that began on October 16 lasted for five days and ended on Sunday.

44 crore cash, jewellery worth 31 crores seized

On October 18, the Income Tax Department issued a statement saying that 43.9 crores Indian currency, 18 crore foreign currencies and 31 crore gold and diamond jewellery were recovered in raids on the ashram and its hideouts. The Income Tax Department has issued summons of inquiry to NKV Krishna, son of spiritual guru Kalki and other family members.

On the other hand, the self-proclaimed Lord Vijay Kumar Naidu released his video and gave his clarification on the matter. He said, “First of all I want to say that I have not left the country, neither have we gone anywhere else. We are here and want to tell my devotees that my health is very good. Neither the government nor the IT department has said that we left the country. But it is the media that is saying that we have left the country.”

Family not cooperating in the investigation

However, the special thing is that in the video, self-proclaimed Lord Naidu has not mentioned the income tax raids on the ashrams. According to the sources, the pressure on the self-proclaimed Lord is increasing after the raids. On the other hand, sources in the Income Tax Department told our colleague Times Now that Kalki’s son and his daughter-in-law are not cooperating in the investigation. Both are admitted to a hospital in Chennai and have cited regular medical checkups.
