New York| The trial of the Coronavirus vaccine has been stopped by the American company Johnson & Johnson. The company made this decision after one of its health workers fell ill. Before Johnson & Johnson, the Oxford AstraZeneca had also stopped its vaccine trial last month under the same conditions. However, the trial has now resumed after a review of the situation.

Johnson & Johnson was quoted as saying that a volunteer taking part in the trial had seen some symptoms of the disease. The company said- “We are currently stopping all types of trials. It also includes phase 3 trials. Symptoms of the disease have been found in a candidate taking part in the trial. We are investigating this.”

The development comes as total number of infected patients across the world crossed the 3.8 crore mark. While 2.8 crore people have recovered, the death toll has crossed 10 lakh mark.
