Maharashtra, Delhi Report Dip In New Coronavirus Cases

Maharashtra reported over a 30% drop in new cases on Wednesday comparing to the figures on Tuesday, the lowest daily rise in cases for the state in the last 6 days.

Mumbai| Though the coronavirus cases across the country crossed 12,000 on Thursday, reports showed some relief for some of the most affected states by Coronavirus- Maharashtra & Delhi.

According to the health bulletin released by the government, Delhi reported only 17 new cases on Wednesday- it’s lowest in the month of April.

Maharashtra, however, reported over a 30% drop in new cases on Wednesday comparing to the figures on Tuesday. This was the lowest daily rise in cases for the state in the last 6 days. On Tuesday, Maharashtra reported 232 new cases of coronavirus compared to the cases on Tuesday by exhibiting a steep fall of 30% in daily Covid-19 cases.

Kerala, on the other hand, has continued to slow down new cases and ramp up the numbers of recovered patients. Though, Karala being one of the hotspots for the Covid-19, the state now is on 2nd rank in case of highest recoveries with 218 patients beating the deadly contagious disease.

It’d be too soon to call this “flattening of the curve”. While cases dip in these states, new cases in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan continue the spike. States like Meghalaya, which earlier had no patients of coronavirus, have now reported cases for the same.

The trend of the dip in new cases must be established across the country. The attempts should be made in order to reduce new cases and increase the recovery rate. It is essential to do for flattening the curve of Covid-19.
