TV show producers will have to follow certain norms to resume the shoot. Television & film shoots have been suspended since March-end.
New Delhi| TV show shoots will resume by the end of June with new guidelines. Ekta Kapoor’s shows, Kaun Banega Crorepati and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai crew will soon start shooting with a limited crew.
BN Tiwari, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employee (FWICE), revealed that they put some conditions for producers keeping the daily wagers in mind, India Today reported.
1. FWICE has started tutoring everyone on how to wear a mask and use sanitiser. Every set will have an inspector, who will examine who is wearing a mask and who is not. Until the workers get used to it, the inspector will continue to be there.
2. If a worker dies of the COVID-19, the channel and producer will have to pay a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the worker’s family and also should take care of their medical expenses. For accidental deaths, producers have given Rs 40-42 lakh but FWICE has kept the minimum compensation amount to Rs 50 lakh. This will boost the confidence of the workers, who will be ensured that if something happens to them the producers will take care of their family, and will look forward to coming to work.

Makers will also have to affirm that the remaining 50% is working in shifts so that no one goes jobless. People over 50 years of age have been asked to stay at home for the next 3 months, as they are more prone to COVID-19 than the others.
4. An ambulance needs to be present all the time on the sets in case of an emergency,
Federation of Western India Cine Employees will soon conduct an online meeting with the producers and channel heads regarding the new guidelines.
