North India Shakes Up With Earthquake Tremors, Epicentre In Amritsar

According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake in Amritsar at 10:34 pm was measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale.

 

North India was shaken by earthquake tremors late on Friday night. Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake in Amritsar at 10:34 pm was measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was 21 km from Amritsar at a depth of 10 km from the ground. Tremors were felt for several seconds. This spread panic among the people. Many people came out of their homes.
In December last year, tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR. The earthquake intensity was 4.2. Whose epicenter was in Alwar, Rajasthan.
