Petitioner in Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case killed in a Car Accident

In 2004, the Gujarat police had killed Ishrat Jahan and three others in allegedly a fake encounter. One of them being Pranesh alias Javed Sheikh who was Pillai’s son.

 

One of the petitioners in the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case has reportedly met with a deadly accident. According to the reports, Gopinath Pillai-one of the petitioners lost his life in a road accident in Kerala’s Alappuzha district on Friday.

In 2004, the Gujarat police killed Ishrat Jahan and three others in allegedly a fake encounter. One of them being Pranesh alias Javed Sheikh who was Pillai’s son.

On the other hand, CBI is seeking more time from the special CBI court in Ahmedabad to respond to the discharge pleas of accused DG Vanzara-a former IPS and police superintendent NK Amin.
