PM Modi To Chair Cabinet Meeting, Approvals For “Atmanirbhar India” Packages On Cards

PM Modi also stressed on increasing local manufacturing to make the country self-sufficient.

New Delhi| A cabinet meeting will be held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence today. The meeting is expected to approve the proposals for the Self-Reliant India Package. Some decisions can be taken to increase investment in the country. Modi on Tuesday said at the program of industry association CII that the government’s focus is on economy along with preventing corona infection. He also stressed on increasing local manufacturing to make the country self-sufficient.

Two days ago, proposals related to MSME were approved

To reduce the impact of Corona on the economy, the government announced a Rs 20 lakh crore self-sufficient India package last month. Some of its proposals were approved in the Cabinet meeting held two days ago. In Monday’s meeting, the scheme of Fund of Funds for Small-Medium Industries (MSMEs) of 50 thousand crores and for MSMEs struggling with economic difficulties, approved a loan scheme of Rs 20 thousand crores. It was also decided to increase the support price of 14 kharif crops.
