Lucknow: Before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress party has come fully into action. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is continuously making big promises. Now Priyanka has promised to give an honorarium of 10 thousand rupees per month to ASHA and Anganwadi workers if the government is formed.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote on Twitter, “The Congress party is committed to respect and honor the rights of Asha sisters and will give an honorarium of Rs 10,000 per month to Asha sisters and Anganwadi workers if the government is formed.”
Earlier, while tweeting another video, he wrote, “Every single attack on Asha sisters by the UP government is an insult to the work done by them. My Asha sisters have given their services diligently in Corona and on other occasions. Honorarium is their right. It is the duty of the government to listen to them. Asha sisters deserve respect and I am with them in this fight.
In view of the elections, the Congress seems to be constantly doing new experiments. First Priyanka Gandhi announced to give tickets to women for 40 percent seats in the UP assembly elections and now the Congress has decided that she will take the examination in the districts and make spokespersons and coordinators. The special thing is that any person who wants to come with Congress can appear in this examination. Preference will be given to youth.
Naseemuddin Siddiqui, chairman of the media department of UP Congress and former minister, launched the Congress’ Bane UP ki Awaaz program on Tuesday. Naseemuddin said that those who want to raise their voice by joining the Congress – like farmers, unemployed, women, traders, the party will give a chance to all of them to become spokespersons at the district level. The special thing is that it is not necessary to be a member of Congress beforehand to come in this.
Naseemuddin told that the basis of selection will be merit, for which district wise examination and interview will be held. The committee comprising the secretary-in-charge of the district, district and city president and state spokesperson will organize the programmes.
