Priyanka Gandhi Slams Yogi Government over killing of 4 Dalits in Prayagraj

Prayagraj : Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on November 26 met with the family of the 4 murdered at Gogri village in Uttar Pradesh. Slamming Yogi government Priyanka Gandhi said that women and dalits are not safe under BJP rule.

The family was murdered over property dispute, in village, in Phaphamau area of Prayagraj district, on Friday.

Priyanka consoled the bereaved family members and assured them that all help possible would be extended to them.

Later while interacting with media over the incident she said, ” The family is in terror. All of them are women, the male member works in Jharkhand. They don’t know what will they do alone, somebody can come & torment them.”

“I have been working in the state for two years and I have again and again witnessed that the Constitution is under threat here. I am with anyone who is denied justice and the media should also not sit silent on the harassment of dalits and repeated attempts to cause damage to the samvidhan in the state,” she added.

Priyanka Gandhi also said in BJP’s rule women, dalits are not safe only people who are safe in bjps are their businessmen friends. Priyanka said that there is no justice for dalits, women, farmers and minorities in Uttar Pradesh. Justice is only available to those who have connections with ruling parties, industrialists and the powerful.

Priyanka expressed shock and anger over the murders. She said that women in the family had told her that policemen used to mock them whenever they approached the police to take action against the accused. The police openly sided with them instead of taking action. The accused assaulted the family twice earlier but the police failed to provide security to them, she added.

Apart from Priyanka Gandhi Samajwadi party supremo Akhilesh Yadav also slammed yogi government. while speaking with media akhilesh said yogi government is working on thoko policy.
