Today one percent of the population of India has 33 percent wealth in their hands. 10 percent of the population has 65 percent of the money in their hands.
Jaipur: Congress has held a rally at Jaipur on December 12. While Addressing the public at the rally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Centre and said that he is a Hindu and not Hindutvadi. He says that there is a collision between two words.
Addressing the ‘Mehngai Hatao Maha Rally’ in Jaipur, Rahul Gandhi said, “What is the battle before the country today? There is a collision of two words in the politics of the country today. One word Hindu and the other word Hindutva. This is not the same thing. There are two different words and have different meanings. I am a Hindu and not a Hindutvadi. The difference between Hindu and Hindutvadi is that Hindu searches for truth, it is called satyagraha but Hindutvadi searches for power (satta) and it is called as Sattagraha.”
Targetting the Modi government, Gandhi said, “Today one percent of the population of India has 33 percent wealth in their hands. 10 percent of the population has 65 percent of the money in their hands. And the poorest 50 percent of the population has only 6 percent of the money in their hands.”
At the rally, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were too present.
Addressing the public at Jaipur’s Congress Rally, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a “tourist PM.” Referring to the Lakhimpur incident, she said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi roamed the whole world but didn’t go ten kilometers away to meet protesting farmers.
She leveled, “Our tourist PM roamed the whole world but didn’t go ten kilometers away to meet our [protesting] farmers. This is the type of government we have.”
Further, she said, “Crores of rupees go into advertisements in Uttar Pradesh, but not for the welfare of the farmers. The central government does not want the welfare of the people. The government is only working for a few industrialists.”
“The government that Congress built for several decades is being sold to a few select industrialists. Tell me, what have you done in seven years?” Priyanka Gandhi continued.
She also alleged that the central government does not tell the truth but only misleads and that the ruling BJP talks about diversionary things like religion but not development when elections are near.
