Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Epic’ Jibe At PM On Friendship Day With F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Title Song

The instagram reel, at the time of this report being prepared, had almost 3.2 million views with over 2 lakh likes and 10 thousand comments.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in a funny jibe at PM Modi that left netizens in splits, posted a reel on instagram on Monday with a title song of popular sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

However, the only twist in this video was that instead of the characters of the show, pictures of industrialists with Prime Minister Narendra Modi were used in the video, to highlight the friendship they share with each other. Reliance Industries’ Mukesh Ambani, his brother Anil Ambani and Adani Group’s Gautam Adani appeared in the video.

In his caption to the instagram reel, Mr Gandhi said: “Happy Friendship Day to “Hum Do Humare Do” ki sarkar.”

Rahul Gandhi has often used the ‘Hum Do Humare Do’ refrain to target Modi and the saffron party, suggesting that the country is being run by four people, that include industrialist friends of the PM Modi.

In February this year, the Gandhi scion had said in the parliament: “Years ago there was a family planning slogan — hum do, hamare do (We two and ours two), but just like Corona has returned in another form, this slogan too has made a comeback. Today, four people run the country — hum do, hamare do.”

Internet users were cracking up at this unexpected reel by Mr Gandhi, as many applauded him for posting the content that the country’s youth could relate to.

One of the top comments below the reel read: “Disclaimer: our prime minister is not harmed in this video”.

While many comments appreciated Rahul Gandhi for having a funny bone, another user said it was “sarcasm at it’s best”.

The instagram reel, at the time of this report being prepared, had almost 3.2 million views with over 2 lakh likes and 10 thousand comments.
