While all the domestic and international flights have been banned till April 14, SpiceJet, IndiGo, and GoAir have also offered their help to the government.
New Delhi| SpiceJet has offered the aid of its aircraft and crew members to the government amid any humanitarian mission during the 21-days lockdown and has also offered to fly the migrant workers from Delhi, Mumbai to Patna, who are being forced to walk ob foot amid the lockdown, SpiceJet CMD Ajay Singh said on Friday.
While all the domestic and international flights have been banned till April 14, IndiGo and GoAir have also offered their help to the government for any mission required to control the spread of Covid-19.
“We have offered our aircraft and crew for any humanitarian mission that the government needs us to fly. We are already flying food, medicines and medical equipment for the government every day (on our freighter aircraft),” Singh informed the PTI.

“We would like to alleviate the suffering of the migrant workers, especially those from Bihar, by flying some flights between Delhi/Mumbai and Patna,” he further added.
India has imposed a 21-day lockdown across the country in the light of coronavirus spread. The coronavirus has infected more than 800 people and has taken 19 lives so far in India.
Currently, even though there is a ban on all international and domestic passenger flights in India, all-cargo flights and flights specifically approved by the DGCA can function according to the aviation regulator.
