Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that the roadshows taken out by him and other BJP leaders at various places in the state were not propaganda for the upcoming election, but an instrument to reach out to people.
“We shall persist with such roadshows during the tenure of our government,” he said while speaking to the people during his 9th roadshow today.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers today took out a protest march in the city before Khattar’s roadshow began in the evening.
Carrying black flags in their hands, the AAP workers slammed the BJP government in the state and said rather than holding roadshows, the Khattar regime should fulfil the promises it made to the people at the time of polls.
Addressing the gathering, Khattar said that overall development was done in all the 22 districts of the state and out of the 4,900 announcements made by him, 3,350 were fulfilled and work on the remaining was underway.
Khattar announced schemes worth Rs 52.23 crore for the residents of Sonipat. He laid the foundation stone of ITI in Khewra village to be constructed at a cost of Rs 14.24 crore.
He also greeted the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
