Two inspectors from CCB Bengaluru, on Thursday, began the raids at Vivek Oberoi’s house around 1 pm. The raids were conducted in search of Aditya Alva, who is absconding and is being probed in a drug scandal.
On Thursday, Bengaluru police raided actor Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai residence in connection with the sandalwood drug scandal probe, India Today reported. The police had earlier raided former Karnataka minister late Jeevaraj Alva’s son Aditya Alva, who is the brother-in-law of actor Vivek Oberoi.
Two inspectors from CCB Bengaluru, on Thursday, began the raids at Vivek Oberoi’s house around 1 pm. The raids were conducted in search of Aditya Alva, who is absconding and is being probed in a drug scandal.
“Aditya Alva is absconding. Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we had information that Alva is present there. So we wanted to check, a court warrant was obtained and the CCB team has gone to his house in Mumbai,” Bangalore additional commissioner said.
The Bengaluru police also informed that they were assisted by the local Mumbai police. Officer further said: “Also, he may know his whereabouts. So this action was taken. Raid is still going on.”
In this case, actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani have been arrested. Their judicial custody has been extended till October 23 by the special NDPS (Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) court in Bengaluru.
