Bhopal| A mini cabinet of five ministers was formed by MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday in a simple function held at the Raj Bhavan amid ongoing lockdown due to COVID-19.
Chouhan was working alone after taking over as Chief Minister on March 23 bringing the BJP back to the power after the Congress government of Kamal Nath fell on losing its majority.
As the small cabinet was sworn in on Tuesday afternoon by Governor Lalji Tandon at a ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal.
Those included in the cabinet are Former minister and six-time MLA Narottam Mishra, Meena Singh, Kamal Patel, Tulsiram Silawat and Govind Singh Rajput.
Silawat and Rajput are firm Scindia loyalists who were ministers in the Kamal Nath-led government.

The portfolios have not been allotted yet, including the crucial Health Ministry. Sources said each minister could be given two divisions for now. The portfolios are likely to be assigned after the second round of cabinet expansion on May 3, sources said.
