Indore | Spiritual guru Bhaiyyuji Maharaj on Tuesday committed suicide at his Indore residence. He allegedly shot himself and was later admitted to the Bombay hospital in critical condition.
The Madhya Pradesh government has earlier offered minister of status to Bhaiyyuji Maharaj along with five other saints. However, he refused the state government’s invitation. According to sources, the spiritual leader was in depression.
“The spiritual leader shot himself at his residence. Family dispute is believed to be the reason behind the spiritual leader taking such extreme step.”Indore DIG Hari Narayanchari Mishra told media.
Congress leader Manak Agarwal has asked for a CBI probe in Bhaiyyuji Maharaj’s death.”Madhya Pradesh government had put pressure on him to accept privileges & support the government, which he refused to do. He was under a lot of mental pressure. CBI probe should be done.” he told media.
