Twitter CEO meets Rahul Gandhi, discusses measures taken to curb ‘fake news’

In a meeting with Rahul Gandhi, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey discussed measures taken by the company to tackle fake news.

 

New Delhi| Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey met Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday. He was on his first India visit.

Tweeting about the meeting, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, “Jack Dorsey, the Co Founder & CEO of Twitter dropped in to chat this morning.”

In the meeting, the Twitter CEO informed Gandhi about the steps taken to tackle fake news. Noting that the micro-blogging site has today become the most dominant conversation platform globally, Gandhi said, “Jack explained some of the steps being taken to keep those conversations healthy & to tackle the menace of fake news.”

Jack Dorsey who arrived in India few days ago earlier visited Dalai Lama, Jaipur and also interacted with the students of IIT Delhi.
