Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Tests Positive For Covid-19

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has appealed to all those who have come in contact with him to get themselves tested and take precaution.

On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that he has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and has gone into self-isolation.

“After observing initial symptoms, I got tested for Covid-19 and my report has come positive. I am in self-isolation and fully following the consultation of physicians. I am performing all my tasks virtually,” Adityanath said in his tweet.

“All activities of the state government are being conducted normally. Meanwhile, all those who’ve come in contact with me must get themselves tested and follow precaution,” the Chief Minister added.

On Tuesday, after some officials at his office tested positive for Covid-19, Adityanath had said that he has isolated himself as a “precautionary measure”.

“Some officials of my office have tested positive for Covid-19. As a precautionary measure, I have isolated myself and I am carrying on my work virtually,” Adityanath had said in a tweet in Hindi.

Some officials at the CM office, including his OSD Abhishek Kaushik, have reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus infection.
