Vaccination Drive: Dry Run of Covid-19 Vaccine Begins, Health Minister Reviews Preparations

The Health Ministry said that about 96 thousand vaccinators have been given training for vaccination. 2360 participants have been trained.

 

The central government is vigorously preparing for Coronavirus vaccination. The vaccine’s dry run began across the country on Saturday. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan went to GTB Hospital on Saturday morning to review the preparations for the dry run. The Health Ministry held a review meeting on Friday regarding the dry run.

How will the dry run happen?

In the process of dry run, four steps other than vaccination will be included. These include 1. Beneficiary (people who have to be given a dummy vaccine), 2. Details of the place where the vaccine is to be given, 3. Verification of documents on the spot and 4. Uploading of mock drill and reporting information on the vaccine is.
Some people included in the first list in the dry run will be given a dummy vaccine. During this time, necessary arrangements will be reviewed for starting vaccination. This will attempt to address potential shortcomings during the real vaccinations.

The Medical Officer Incharge will select 25 beneficiaries at each site. Each center will have three rooms. The first room will be for waiting. There will be a demo match of the complete information of the health worker. Vaccine will be given in another room. In the third room, the volunteer will be kept for 30 minutes. So that he can be given treatment in case of any problem.

States and Union Territories have been asked to upload the beneficiary data on the Co-WIN app. It is an online platform for vaccine delivery and monitoring.

The Health Ministry said that about 96 thousand vaccinators have been given training for vaccination. 2360 participants have been trained in the National Training Institute and more than 57 thousand participants in 719 districts. Any information related to the vaccine can be obtained by dialing 104 number in any state.
