Vishakhapatnam| A major fire engulfed the offshore support vessel near Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Due to sudden fire in the ship, 29 crew members jumped into the sea, out of which 28 have been saved by the Indian Coast Guard. One is missing. Search operations have been launched to find the missing sailor. The cause of the fire in the ship is yet to be known.

According to Coastal Guards, an explosion was heard following which several sailors jumped off the ship. The explosion happened at 11.30 PM today. It can be seen in the video that smoke is coming out of the vessel and sailors are jumping in the sea.
The Coast Guard’s fast patrol vessel Rani Rashmoni, which was sailing near the area, was diverted to the burning vessel to coordinate the rescue operation with boats of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust.
