Whole Family “Locked Up In Home” In “New J&K”: Omar Abdullah

It’s bad enough they’ve locked my father (a sitting MP) & me in our home, they’ve locked my sister & her kids in their home as well,” Mr Abdullah tweeted.

He and his family have been kept “locked up” in their home, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted today.

“This is the “naya/new J&K” after Aug 2019. We get locked up in our homes with no explanation. It’s bad enough they’ve locked my father (a sitting MP) & me in our home, they’ve locked my sister & her kids in their home as well,” he tweeted.

“Chalo, your new model of democracy means that we are kept in our homes without explanation but on top of that the staff that works in the house aren’t being allowed in and then you are surprised that I’m still angry & bitter,” Mr Abdullah added.

Earlier last week, after 4G Internet services were restored in the state after 18 months, Mr Abdullah had tweeted: “4G Mubarak! For the first time since August 2019, 4G mobile data service was restored across J&K. better late than never.”
