Out of the 1,563 candidates eligible for the NEET-UG re-exam, only 813 (52%) appeared on Sunday, while 750 (48%) were absent. The three-and-a-half-hour exam was conducted across seven centres in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Meghalaya, and Chandigarh. This retest was mandated by the Supreme Court after it scrapped grace marks given by the National Testing Agency (NTA). At least 67 candidates had previously scored 720/720 due to these non-transparent grace marks.
