49, Mostly Indians, Dead In Kuwait Fire

A fire swept through a building that housed foreign workers in Kuwait early Wednesday, killing at least 49 people, mostly Indian nationals aged between 20 and 50 years. The blaze also injured more than 50 others, India’s External Affairs Ministry said. Local officials said the blaze appeared to be linked to code violations.
