Chhattisgarh Collector’s Office Torched During Satnami Protest

A protest by the Satnami community in Chhattisgarh’s Baloda Bazar turned violent, leading to clashes with police, numerous injuries, and significant property damage. The unrest was sparked by the vandalism of a ‘jaitkhamb’, a revered structure, on May 17. Protesters, angered by the desecration, damaged the Collector’s office, the SP’s office, and destroyed around 100 cars, 200 motorcycles, and fire engines.
