The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered Himachal Pradesh to release 137 cusecs of surplus water to Delhi on June 7, notifying Haryana beforehand. Haryana must ensure the water reaches Delhi without obstruction. The court also instructed Delhi to prevent water wastage and requested a status report by June 10. The Upper Yamuna River Board was tasked with measuring the released water at Hathnikund.
