In Delhi’s Farsh Bazar area, a 15-year-old girl stabbed her 34-year-old neighbour, Soni, to death during a dispute over using a common tap for water in their residential building. Soni’s husband, Satbir, alerted the police about the incident at 11 pm on April 12. Responding officers found Soni with stab wounds in her stomach and cuts on her left hand. Despite efforts, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Hedgewar Hospital.
Investigations revealed that an earlier verbal altercation between Soni, Satbir, and their neighbour and her daughter led to the fatal confrontation. During the altercation, Soni allegedly twisted the girl’s hand, prompting the girl to seek medical attention at the same hospital where Soni was later brought. The accused girl was treated as a non-Medico Legal Case (MLC) patient, undergoing an X-ray of her hand. The Delhi Police have since apprehended her and will face proceedings before the Juvenile Justice Board.
