Farmers’ Protest: 1 Dead, ‘Dilli Chalo’ March Temporarily Suspended

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, leading the farmers’ protest at the Punjab-Haryana border, plans to convene its National Coordination Committee and General Body meeting on Thursday. The agenda includes discussing the ongoing situation and strategizing “decisive action to advance the struggle.” The ‘Dilli Chalo’ march was temporarily suspended for two days after alleged clashes in Khanauri, where farmers camped, claiming a protester’s death and injuries to 12 police personnel. However, the Haryana Police said that nobody was killed.
