Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while answering a question on whether he should have apologized for his Modi surname remark said, “My name is not Savarkar. My name is Gandhi. Gandhi kisi se maafi nahi maangta (Gandhi does not make apologies to anyone).” The Congress leader held a press conference in Delhi a day after he was disqualified as a Lok Sabha MP, reported India Today.
The former Wayanad MP said it does not matter whether he is inside Parliament or outside it. “Even if they disqualify me permanently, I will keep doing my work. It does not matter if I am inside Parliament or not. I will keep fighting for the country,” he said.
