According to an official statement, Mizoram and Assam have agreed to collaborate to resolve their longstanding interstate border dispute. Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, extended an invitation to Mizoram’s Chief Minister, Lalduhoma, to discuss the issue over a meal in Guwahati. Both leaders committed to resolving the border conflict collectively and maintaining peace along the border during discussions.
