The Sikkim High Court has pioneered a menstrual leave policy for its female employees within the registry, as announced in a notification on May 27. Women staff are entitled to “2-3 days of menstrual leave” monthly, subject to prior recommendation by the High Court Medical Officer. This leave won’t be deducted from their overall leave quota.
