The Allahabad High Court ruled the Uttar Pradesh Board of Madarsa Education Act, 2004, unconstitutional and against secular principles. Justices directed the state to integrate Madrasa students into the formal education system. The decision followed a writ petition by Anshuman Singh Rathore in the Lucknow bench.
