A tempo traveler, carrying 26 passengers, met with a tragic accident in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on Saturday, claiming 12 lives and leaving 16 wounded. The vehicle veered off the road around 11 am, plunging 250 meters into the Alaknanda River on the Badrinath National Highway. Seven critically injured individuals were airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh, while nine were hospitalized in Rudraprayag District Hospital. According to Rudraprayag SP Vishakha Ashok Bhadane, some injured are in critical condition.
